However we can etch or engrave some metals, like anodized aluminum, directly.
Other metals, like stainless steel, require them to first be sprayed with an etching product. This process discolors the metals but does not engrave them away, so the surface still feels smooth to the touch. It's pretty cool! :)
The short answer is we accept most file types. In general, we ask for files to be in AI, SVG, PDF, or DXF. We need a VECTOR file to properly cut with our laser machines.
We understand that not everyone is a computer whiz and converting files can be confusing. If you’re a hobbyist who doesn’t quite know their way around design programs, not to worry, we have very reasonable rates for artwork adjustments and can even work to create a custom design just for you!
Feeling adventurous? Download a copy of Inkscape, a FREE vector design software program and design your piece yourself!
We're a small and busy shop so we don’t accept walk in clients, and it can be hard to get us on the phone as our machines are LOUD! (Yes! We wear ear protection.)
Shoot us an email and we promise to respond within 24 hours, usually much sooner. Also, check and see if we're online in the chat box at the bottom of the page. If so, you can instantly connect with a real live human being in our shop!
